High-quality photos and videos give you the opportunity to share your brand's story in a truly compelling way. And we’re passionate about stories told well. That's why we help brands make an authentic, meaningful connection with their audience through powerful imagery. We combine storytelling, top-of-the-line production, and high-quality post production to tell stories that inspire connection and start conversations.

The Process.

Discovery

Each new project begins with a Creative Kickoff. This allows our team to understand the purpose behind the project, learn more about the vision you may have, and discover the non-negotiables of the production. There is so much story to be told through the powerful visuals of photography and videography and we want to dig deep into the heart and purpose behind that story right from the start.

Mood Boards & Treatment

A key first step in any photo or video project is a visual treatment for the production. With this treatment, we will establish the style of shoot by focusing on the overall mood, lighting, and framing for each shot, and conduct initial planning for how those shots can be captured, working out the kinks of the concept in advance. For video production, this phase may also include initial concepting for a script (if needed) and outlining the flow of each subsequent shot.

Shot List & Scripting

While treatments and mood boards have room to be a bit more vague, our team will then create an organized shot list to drill-down on specific photos or video scenes for your production. When presenting the list to a client, we break down the explanation of each shot and explain how it aides in delivering on the project goals. For production, this phase also means presenting a first draft of the script (if needed) and breaking up the lines of that script, shot-by-shot, to properly convey the flow of the video.

Planning & Sourcing

Once the shot list and/or script is approved by the client, our team begins planning and sourcing everything required for production day. Whether for photo or video, this means gathering or purchasing props, hiring talent if needed, location-scouting, and finalizing a schedule.

Shooting & Editing

And "boom" goes the dynamite. We've made it to production day. Sometimes this phase is a long day in the photo studio and other times it's a 3-day shoot in NYC. No matter the circumstances, this is where the magic of visual storytelling happens. With our detailed list in-hand, we'll capture all of your planned shots (and a few extra for good measure). Following shoot-day, our team goes heads-down into retouching and editing mode. Depending on how elaborate the concept is, the length of this phase can vary. But if shooting is the magic, editing is the sorcery behind it.

Presentation & Revisions

Presentation of a photo or video concept is one of the most rewarding parts of visual storytelling. In this phase, we put the work on display and discuss the reasoning behind our final decisions. Often times, new ideas can spring up as the concept is created, so we make sure to explain everything we present to ensure it is properly received. For production work, this final phase is where we can cut up the video into various lengths to be used across different platforms. From here, if any tweaks are necessary, our crew will fine-tune the shots, package 'em up, and deliver the finals.
