Embrew

Embrew products aren't just a simple black tea with cane sugar. They’re loose leaf grade teas from small farms processed with care and combined with a touch of smoked demerara sugar, granulated maple, honey granules or organic sugar to bring the cup to life.

Embrew’s Founder Ashley Haywood found a way to flawlessly balance the sweetness of life’s best moments. In perfecting her process while expanding the business in retail locations, the need for an upgraded brand identity and packaging system became apparent. Enter Hype.

Brand Foundation

We began by breaking down the products and how they differed from other retail teas. Most companies take shortcuts to meet demands. In the tea industry, those shortcuts can mean unethically sourced teas and sweeteners, and environmentally unsound processes and packaging. We helped to craft a Brand Foundation to explain Embrew’s mission to provide a solution to consumers on-the-go without sacrificing their principles or the environment. They’ve got sourcing, blending, and sweetening all down to an art, and for them, convenience doesn’t mean they’ve sacrificed quality.

Branding

The Embrew brand that came to us was not ready for the mainstream retail consumer. What the retail consumer needed was a brand that was as unique and colorful as its products. Once the foundation was established, we moved into creative exploration and began crafting the unique visual identity system that would allow Embrew to thrive.

Our well-rounded brand system was built to allow for future flavor and product expansions. Through custom patterns, hand-drawn illustrations and icons, beautiful assets, and an attractive color palette of greens, blues, purples, pinks, and tans, our creative team was able to deliver a unique and marketable brand identity for Embrew that looks just as good as it tastes.

Packaging

After the unique brand system was established for Embrew, we got to work on applying the elements to their packaging. It was important to feature the sophisticated flavor profiles and environmentally sound processes and packaging. We highlighted the remarkable quality of ingredients on the labels, and positioned them around the custom pattern. Together, these elements communicated the natural, sweet, and organic nature of the brand.
