For over 50 years, Hit Promotional Products has been a leader in the promotional product industry. They are a family-owned business that operates with a personal touch, an extensive inventory, first-class imprinting and decorations, and a commitment to sustainability.

The Hit team contacted Hype in desperate need of a rebrand, with the goal of evolving the brand they’ve had much success with for five decades.

Brand Audit


In our Brand Audit phase, we collected as much information as possible about Hit, its history, its background, their business goals, services and vision. We performed an in-depth analysis of the market and dove into the variables that lead to success. We developed a competitive analysis and investigated what their competitors were doing. This info was used to lead the following phases and referred back to for guidance.

 
 
 
 

Brand Foundation


When it came to helping Hit find their true brand story, we knew we needed to develop a meaningful message that consumers connected with on more than just a surface level. As we got to know the Hit team, we learned that this family-owned company is there to act as a trusted partner in their client’s success. So when developing the written representation of their brand, we focused on their devotion to operating with a personal touch while being a one-stop shop for all of their client’s promotional product needs. It was also very important to communicate their commitment of offering sustainable, ethically-sourced products and holding themselves accountable to social responsibility.

 
 
 
 

Branding & Brand Evolution


The evolved Hit brand had a few needs to consider. The owners wanted to keep the handwritten logo style, while developing an updated brand identity system to accompany the new logo. The outcome was a refreshingly modern logo system and visual identity with a nod to the company’s 50-year history. 

Our use of textures and illustration gives the brand an authentic and personal feel, allowing Hit to stand out from their competitors. Paired with an energetic color palette and bold typography, it’s the perfect union of old and new.

 
 
 
 

Video Production


 
 

When Hit tasked us with creating product videos, we knew we’d be able to take their content to the next level. Our team produces bi-monthly videos, creating content formatted for Instagram Reels, which allows us to show Hit’s products in action.

 
 
 

Social Media


Our goals in managing Hit’s social media is to position them as a leader in the promotional product industry. We continually tell their brand story and mission through crafting and distributing content that is relevant, engaging, thumb-stopping and share-worthy.

When developing Hit’s graphic design elements on social media we communicate facts, features, behind-the-scenes elements, and product information in a quick, digestible, and enjoyable way. The graphics draw inspiration from the refreshed brand identity and feature a modern and eye-catching vibe that align with Hit’s existing modern and brightly lit lifestyle photography.
